#TMITuesday: 10 Questions with Comedian, MTV Personality, Actor, and Super Thug John Jacobs.

This week’s #TMITuesday feature is a comedian, rapper, published author, fashion icon and first found himself on MTV when he attempted to find his “perfect match” on Are You The One?, and then attempted to win a huge cash prize with one of his suitors on The Challenge: Battle of the Exes 2. If watching JJ’s digital resume doesn’t convince you, like it did for me, that he’s probably my match then idk what else will.
John Jacobs and I become BFFS, and chat about reality TV, comedic icons, The Kardashians, and a whole bunch more.

1. When you competed on MTV’s Are You The One what were your expectations going into it?

I had absolutely no expectations because I had no idea what the show really was. We were just told it was a reality dating show/competition. Sounded fun, and I had nothing better to do, so I figured, “FREE VACATION!” Being a reality show I assumed it would be a lot of f#*%in’ and fightin’ and turned out I was totally right.
2. Since today is #TMITuesday, can you tell the readers something they may not already know about you?

Some TMI about myself people probably don’t know, I grew up with Tourette syndrome until I was about 13, and I lost my mom to depression when I was 16. That’s some I for ya.3. During your time on AYTO, you had cast members Simone and Jacy fighting over you; if you had to choose one competition to have the two compete for your heart with what would it be, and who do you think would win?

If I could choose one competition to have those two compete for my heart it would be a full competition with numerous rounds.

First, cooking competition, my lady needs to be able to feed me (because I can’t.)
Second, stand-up competition. I’m a comedian, I need someone with a good sense of humor, I’m sure they’d both be terrible, but it takes some balls to get on stage and try to make people laugh and I’d love to see that.

Third, fight to the death. There can only be one, and she needs to prove her love for me by putting her life on the line. It only seems right. (And how romantic!)

4. I was once told “you remind me of Amy Schumer, you’re funny, blonde, and a 6, 7 max out of 10” She’s one of my favourite comedy stars atm. As a comedian, who is your comedy idol?
Comedian idol is George Carlin. He’s my number one influence, love his stand-up, love his books, love everything about the guy.

Besides George, other comedians I’ve loved my whole life would be Pablo Francisco, Greg Giraldo, Dana Carvey, Anthony Jeselnik, and Louis CK.

5. Do you watch any other reality TV shows?
I love “Bad Girls Club” (AKA “Bitch Prison.”) Those girls are just so damn ridiculous and they KNOW they’re ridiculous, but don’t care that they’re publicly ruining any chance they ever had of having a decent reputation. They will fight each other just because someone thinks they wanted to fight them, they have no self-control, they’re absolutely insane, and I love it. I don’t know if that’s saying something about me because I love seeing girl-on-girl violence on TV, but it’s like a car-fire on the highway, you just can’t look away. Besides that, I don’t really watch TV. Recently been on a Hulu kick though, going back and watching all the “of love” series. Rock of Love, Daisy of Love, Flavor of Love, I Love New York, I Love Love, Love Love of Love Love.

6. Speaking of reality shows, you tweeted “You’re as real as Kylie Jenner’s lips”; if you had to hangout with one Kardashian/Jenner who would it be?
Khloe, only because I want to have sex with her. Once she denies me I’d call up Brody and try to become his new best friend.

7. In addition to AYTO, you also competed with Simone on the latest season of The Challenge, what was your initial reaction when you found out that Simone was going to be your partner?
Pretty annoyed. I left AYTO thinking, “I’m probably never seeing her again,” only to find out that she’s the person I’ll have to work with to stick around in this house. But hey, I can’t be mad because if I never hooked up with her that first night in the house I never would have been invited on The Challenge. So in a weird way, hooking up a stranger my first night on reality TV has been my best career move so far.

8. What sort of terms are you and Simone on now?
We’re “fine.” We’re not really friends. Don’t talk. We both live in Hollywood though so if I see her, I see her, and if we host a club event or something, we’re cordial.

9. Who is your celebrity “perfect match”?

10. What’s next for you?

I’m a stand-up comedian and have been lucky enough to perform at colleges all over the country thanks to Gotham Artists. I live in LA and also play local clubs and bars, and am just working on my stand-up career and trying to get up as much as possible. As I’m writing this, I’m currently in Las Vegas trying not to go bankrupt. If I get asked to do another reality show I’ll probably do it unless it involves eating animal testicles. (Well, maybe for the right price.)

Keep up with JJ on Youtube, Instagram, and Twitter.
