#TMITuesday: 10 Questions with Rapper Chingy

Its surely not often that I get to interview what would be considered nowadays my #MCE as a young teen but this week I did. The “Right Thurr” artist and  I sat down to talk  about his time on VH1, music, science (yes, you read that correctly, science), and more in this week’s #TMITuesday interview.

1. A lot of artists are making comebacks lately in the industry, just this month Miss Elliot dropped a new single and video; You dropped a few videos in January  this year, what can we expect in terms of a comeback from you?

Well far as a comeback, I’m working on some future things. Right now I have a single titled “Where you been” that’s currently doing pretty good far as responses on the Internet world. I’m making progress independently, but it could be better far as support.

2. Which artist(s) would you most like to do a collaboration with?

What artist I would like to collab with, are artists like Pharrell and Drake. Pharrell is just a creative person who I feel brings the inner light out of artist an put them on a more universal stage instead of limiting their talents to just one culture.

3. You’ve mentioned in other interviews that you’re studying Kinesis Science, can you tell us more about that, and where that started for you?

Well Kemetian sciences are basically the study of what they now call Egyptian Egyptology. It’s just learning the universal sciences an the ways they were taught back then. How to be one with yourself an be as the universe is, which is an electromagnetic being an healing your mind an body naturally through energy, vibration an frequency. Innerstanding that The All is mentalism

4. You pretty much coined the terms “hurr” and “thurr” in the early 2000s, in 2015 we have “on fleek” “lit”, and a plethora of other slang. What would you say is your least favourite term now, and which slang from the early 2000s should make a comeback?

What terms I least like, well I don’t least like any. To each their own I say. Being creative means think out the box and make trends instead of following them. The question is who made the term an have people saying it. That’s who needs the credit an appreciation for it. I’m always inventing different terms, it’s my street terminology

5. What would you say is your “theme song”?

My theme song I would say is 2pacs hole album “Me Against the world”, because today that’s how I feel. I’ve been thru a lot of things I feel were unnecessary in my life being a celebrity, but it just made me stronger and more individualized from the lost souls out hurr though.

6. Since today is #TMITuesday, is there something you can tell the readers about you that they may not already know?

Well something they don’t know is I have a degree in Astrology, Numerology and I study the Metaphysics of religion an thought. Furthering your knowledge is key to innerstanding yourself and others on the inside an out.

7. As a father, what advice would you give your children if they wanted to get into the music industry?

The advice I would give my children is, make sure you have a positive team in place. Lawyer, accountant, manager, and just people who have your best interest. Also, learn in your own how this industry works and apply it to your profession.

8. You have appeared on VH1’s couple’s therapy, how has your life changed since appearing on the show?

My life hasn’t really changed, I was still famous before that show. People would come up to me an ask me if me an that young lady was still together or did we break up. Nothing really too crazy

9. On that note, I interview a lot of reality TV personalities, and it seems that quite a few rappers have hit the reality TV scene lately with Ja Rule, Ice T, T.I, and even Christina Milan; Would you ever consider this for yourself?

I’ve shot my own pilot for a reality series featuring me an my family. It was me an my lil sister Ziggy idea to do it. It’s called “Business with the Baileys” but it’s at a stand still right now, cause we are thinking of going another direction. I’m definitely open to it though.

10. What’s next for you?

Next for me is trying build up independently and keep producing music for the fans. Trying to get all traffic to go thru my website Chingyjackpot.com

Making my next move my best move. 2016 good things in store so stay tuned.
