TikTok is no Vine but it has Vine energy, and so does this week’s feature. @lord.cord aka Cordelia of Newfoundland, Canada brings joy to the app that is filled with hormonal 17-year-old kids doing the renegade with her authentic brand of ‘plogs’ and theatrical videos. I sat down to chat with the rising social media star about her life, TikTok, music and more in this all-new interview.

1. Do you remember what the first video was that you posted on TikTok?
The first Tik Tok I posted was of my beagle, Juno! I was just testing the waters and trying to figure out how the app worked.
2. What is an average day like for you?
An average day for me is getting up around 11am, having a little snack and getting ready for work! Me and my mom run a spa together, she’s a massage therapist and I rent a room off of her to do aesthetics! Sometimes I go to the mall and a few little shops around my town for a laugh, check the mail, go to the bank etc. Then usually I’ll come home and post a few tiktoks from my day.. most of the time it’s a vlog style or some other random foolishness! Sometimes I call my dad and have a catch up.. Mostly I’ll just hangout with my boyfriend, Brett, and our dog Juno, and watch impractical Jokers on Netflix or we will rent a movie to watch!
3. When can we see the Walking Dead episode with your nan and pop?!
Aha so funny story… None of that was true! My nan had posted that clip of my pop on Facebook. I just thought it was hilarious and he reminded me so much of a zombie from “The walking dead”. I just ran with it! I guess I was pretty convincing, because a lot of people believed me LOL! She also has no idea that I made a tiktok about that. Oh my!

4. As a fellow Canadian, I love seeing Canadian content creators gain popularity for being authentic, what is your ultimate goal with your TikTok account?
My main goal right now is to make people smile and laugh. I know that sounds cliché, but honestly I just do this for fun. For now, i’m just riding the wave.. who knows what the future has in store for me!
5. Since today is #TMITuesday can you tell the readers something about you that they may not already know?
This is the question I found the hardest because I am extremely open about my life online and I don’t really have any secrets! I’ll just have to go with something random and tell a quick little story… one time me and my friends (Karly and Jess) were house sitting for someone, and we dug up a “Bop it” from the basement.. to make a long story short we lit a fire outside and we were sitting around like some sort of weird cult. I picked up the Bop it and beat it in one try, like maxed the thing out til the point where it just stopped. Karly and Jess never said a word. It was really iconic honestly!
6. Who are some of your favourite creators on TikTok?
Definitely have to go with @brittany_broski, @reitergrace, and @original.don. They keep me laughing for hours! I absolutely love them.
*Let’s forget that she forgot to mention @thenikkisin
7. Let’s talk about MUSIC! My recent playlist has jumped from broadway tunes to rap, and low-fi – what can we find on your playlist?
I love Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, and Lana Del Rey! As well as Childish Gambino, Post Malone, and Mac Miller. Some 80’s and 90’s tunes. And A LOT of musicals..But you’ll also find a lot of Newfie tunes as well of course, like The Irish Descendants!
8. Many creators have merch, will there be any merch from our Newfie queen, and when can I rep it?
I have been working with a few of da by’s from “City of legends apparel” to come out with some merch, hopefully launching in march! We are doing some hoodies and donating 20% of the proceeds to mental health in Newfoundland & Labrador. You can check out their Instagram @cityoflegendsapparel
9. Speaking of Newfie fun, can you take us through a night out in NFLD?
So, I currently reside in Wabush (in Labrador)! There isn’t much to do here as I live in an extremely small town, most of my evenings are spent at rehearsals for the play I’m currently working on.
There are a few places to hit up here including a new micro brewery called “Iron rock brewery” or maybe catch a show at the arts and culture centre if there’s any shows playing. When I lived in St.John’s (Newfoundland) me and my friends practically LIVED on George street! I was also 19 and had no responsibilities back then LOL.
10. What’s next for you?
I have a few exciting things coming up in the next couple of months. As I said above, I’m working on a play right now that we are putting off in Labrador West at the end of March, we are also taking it to the NL drama festival in April in Grand Falls, on the rock! It’s called “The Tin Woman”. In may I’ll be travelling to Ontario to stay with my friend, Celina, a.k.a @celinaspookyboo from tiktok. Me, Celina, and our other friend Alicia will be featured guests at the 1st ever “Social Media North” convention in Stratford. I’m super excited about that! It’s going to be a great experience!
Cordelia is a gem ! I just love how real she is, nothing is off limits. She has quickly become one of my favorite TTers … shes just so endearing ❤
