The Anxiety Diaries Volume 21: How I Am Handling The COVID-19 Quarantine

Am I terrified just a little as I write this post on March 23rd, 2020 about the spread of the Coronavirus? ABSOLUTELY. Am I doing my part by self-isolating, washing my hands, and staying home to prevent the spread? I SURE AM.

I have been attempting to keep certain supplies in order to maintain what level sanity I can in this strange time. Thus, instead of a long winded ramble that I likely would not read over I decided to simply create a list of those essentials for this post.

1. Vitamins

Especially vitamin D, often the best way to get some ‘uh this is a nice walk on a sunny day, however given the current circumstances I will vouch for vitamin d drops.

2. Sour Candy

I like to go for the watermelons, straws and anything peach. The sour taste distracts my brain during anxiety filled moments. I also love candy so win-win?

3. Videochats

Facetime,Zoom,Facebook messenger, House Party whatever your poison is I think it is so important to stay social (from home). I have a virtual coffee date set up once a week with a friend and it makes a world of difference.

4. Books

I live in two worlds and one is in a land of books.

5. Comfortable clothing

If ever there was a time to make your business attire sweats, that time is now.

6. Netflix

I’m rewatching Gilmore Girls what are you doing?

7. Various Playlists

Some days it is Broadway ONLY, and some it’s Da Baby, occasionally it’s melodic techno and well today it is upbeat classic rock. I like to keep different playlists in a rotation.

8. Memes

Laughter is a thing.

9. Animal Crossing

I’m a busy woman okay. I have to run a town, pick weeds, decorate my house. It’s a full time job but boy is it worth it. Tom Nook for president 2020.

10. A Notebook

I never know when inspiration to write will hit but sometimes it hits me like a ton of bricks.

11. A Water Bottle

STAY HYDRATED
