#TMITuesday: 10 Questions With MTV’s The Challenge Champ Jenny West

From Survival Of The Fittest to The Challenge, this week’s Brit beast made her mark on reality TV. But there is so much more to Jenny West than muscles and reality TV and in this week’s #TMITuesday interview I find out she has HOW MANY SIBLINGS?? And so much more. Lets get into itttttttt.

1. After 2 seasons of The Challenge what do you think is the ideal workout routine to train for it?

The challenges are so varied that Its important to train in many different ways also. For strength, speed, endurance, flexibility, balance, agility…basically everything! I make sure I focus on my weaker areas so that I am putting myself in the best position possible to succeed. That way, if I lose, I know that I have tried my best and did everything I could in my power and then I have no regrets.  I train around 4-6 days a week and then ensure I stretch every day to avoid injuries…. injuries are so common in the challenge!

2.You’re a CHAMPION and the fifth international challenger  following Piggy Thomas, Turabi “Turbo” Çamkıran, Dee Nguyen, and Rogan O’Connor yet you do not seem to get as much recognition as Johnny Bananas, your fellow winner of The Challenge: Total Madness. How does this make you feel?

In term of recognition, I understand that the fans of the show will be more invested in the journey of the competitors they have seen more times previously. I would not have expected to get the attention/recognition that Johnny did when it was only my second season. Johnny had a lot to prove in that season and it was a big talking point for the season.  I’m sure when I have been around more and the fans of the show are more invested in my story and journey things would perhaps be different.

3. Who, or what inspires you?

I wouldn’t say any particular person inspires me but I am always inspired by others going after their goals in life, making a plan and achieving them! I love seeing people do well and it acts as a massive motivator for me to go chase my dreams! I always urge my friends to stop putting limits on themselves and saying they can’t do this or that. If you want to achieve something, make a plan and stay relentless until you get there! This is my main inspiration and motivation!

4. Since today is #TMITuesday can you tell the readers something about you that they may not already know?

I love history novels (13,14,1500), I have 4 guinea pigs that are my LIFE and I have an identical twin sister AND 6 other siblings!

5. Do you keep in touch with any of your former castmates of Survival Of The Fittest or The Challenge?

From SOTF I am very good friends with Hayley, we speak almost daily! The best thing to come from that show is my friendship with Hayley. And from the Challenge I will keep in touch with lots of my cast mates via Instagram, I love seeing what they get up to in their personal lives as often you’d have no clue when filming what someone’s life is like or who they are even! I speak regularly to Big T and also to Mel, Bayleigh and Swags, Tori, Cara Maria, Kyle and Johnny. Because of Covid I have not had chance to go visit any of my cast mates yet but it is on the cards!

6. If you could choose one song to be your ‘theme song’ what would it be and why that song?

My theme song would 100 percent be the Guinea Pig Olympics song that I use on my stories whenever there is any guinea pig paraphernalia in the shot!! Okay serious answer would be something like ‘Yeah’ by Usher!

7. Back in 2015 The Challenge did “Battle Of The Bloodlines” inviting challengers to compete with their relatives. If there was a BOTB2 would you compete with your twin sister?

For sure! My twin sister is super competitive!!!

8. I am a woman of many loves and passions and one of those things is SNACKS. What is your go-to late night snack?

I love the low-cal Moo-phoria ice-cream in salted caramel brownie from Ben and Jerrys! I also love some crisps called ‘proper chips’ in BBQ flavour!!

9. You’re a fantastic role model for women, what advice would you give to younger you?

To stop trying to be like anyone else! Your uniqueness is truly your power! Don’t worry about what other people are doing and explore different things so you can find the thing you love! I would also like to add that if you don’t know what to do with your life then sit down and write a list of all the things you enjoy or are good at. Go over the list with a trusted friend, relative or teacher etc and figure out what path(s) you can take. Try not to just do nothing and let precious time pass you by….particularly if you are in a job you hate! Make steps to change it! Oh, and always be a kind person. You should be able to rest your head on your pillow each night and say to yourself ‘ I was a good person today’.

10. Whats next for you Jenny?

SO much! I am always keeping buys and my life is a constant whirlwind of work! I have so many interests and passions and so my time is spread between them. I am currently renovating a property and want to buy two more before the end of the year to also renovate! Next year I want to get my skippers licence and go sailing around Greece cos I said to myself ‘ why the f*&k not!’ I love the sea and I love Greece and I just want to do something outside of the norm. And lastly, I am launching an app this year called Future Proof Fitness! I have sent so many months working on this and it is my little baby! I can’t wait for you all to see it! Maybe you’ll see me on another season of the Challenge too? Who knows!
