I’m pretty lucky to be able to interview such dope folk all the time, and this week was no different. I sat down with a kid with crazy flow, and hair that rivals mine. Deph Naught and I chat about who/what inspires him, I find out he may just be a Supernatural fan, and we discuss a LoL themed video which would obviously star me (likely Lane Doresy) in this week’s interview.
Really important. It really is what keeps underground artists like myself going. You’re not always gonna see the media support or the numbers you want, so talking to the fans that are active and really do appreciate the insane amount of work you put in is absolutely critical to keeping your mind right.
2. You started rapping at 11 years old, what got you interested in it?
Pretty long story, but basically one of the kids in the area got me to do it more so as a practical joke to make fun of me. He calls me to make records all the time now. AIN’T SO FUNNY NOW IS IT!!! [it totally is]
3. Would you ever release a line of black hoodies, and sweatpants?

4. What would you say is your ‘theme song”?
Carry on my Wayward son. It’s been my favorite song since I was about 6. People who know me know they cant play it while I’m driving or we’re getting pulled over because I’m about to go 180!

6. Who is on your dream team for a track?
Honestly the answer to that question changes all the time. If you’re about having my dream features on a track, that is different to who I would just love to hear on a track without me. But basically the line up is Deph Naught, Deph Naught, Naught Deph, and Frank Ocean. That sh*t’d be wild water kingdom.
7. What or whom inspires you and your music?
Pretty much everything. I’m a very personal rapper. I kind of have no secrets or reservations when it comes to what I’m willing to talk about, so if something excited me, or pissed me off that day, or some shits on my mind, my content draws directly from that.
8. Since today is #TMITuesday, what can you tell the readers about you that they may not already know?
9. What is your DEPHinition of success? (I’ll see myself out for that play on words…)
Never heard that one before, good one xD. My definition of success is probably my peers, and people who are really into the art of Hip-hop mentioning me when a discussion about what good rap is comes up. I kind of just want to be respected for what I do. Lord knows I’ve put in the hours.
