In a statement made earlier today it was announced that ‘Blipp’ artist SOPHIE died in an accident in Athens.

The Scottish-born, and L.A.-based artist/producer is best known for transforming the underground dance music. The producer had a recipe for success by combing house, techno, trance, pop and the avant-garde it create a musical dish that was unique and beautiful. NPR said, SOPHIE, who was transgender, also sat at the crest of a new wave of LGBTQ+ electronic producers that flouted societal norms regarding gender, identity and the status quo.
