Spooky season may be over for some but it’s not for me nor is it over for Samantha or Jay on Ghosts.

The show brilliantly combines comedy with the supernatural, bringing a group of ghosts from vastly different eras under one roof. Although these spirits are quirky and loveable, some have more haunting energy than others. Here’s a ranking of all the ghosts on Ghosts, from those with the most chilling vibes to the friendliest spirits in Woodstone Manor.
1. Thorfinn
Thorfinn is hands down the spookiest of the bunch as a Viking warrior with a mysterious and brooding personality. Not only does he have an intimidating build and booming voice, but his strange supernatural ability to make lights flicker when he’s angry is enough to give anyone the chills. Thorfinn earns the title of scariest ghost with his fierce loyalty to his Viking roots and aggressive stance on defending the manor.

2. Hetty
While Hetty may not be traditionally scary, her Victorian demeanour and cold, judgmental stare make her slightly unnerving. Her old-fashioned views and insistence on high-society decorum add an edge to her presence. Plus, her occasional harshness toward the other ghosts (and the living) gives her an air of superiority that feels hauntingly old-world, making Hetty one of the manor’s more formidable spirits.

3. Trevor
What makes him scary is the fact that I would never leave my drink around him. Shirt c*cking is only okay if you are Donald Duck or Winnie The Pooh.

4. Alberta
The 1920s jazz singer, Alberta, has a sharp wit and a louder-than-life personality that brings sass to the group, but she’s not without her dark side. Alberta’s unsolved murder gives her an edge over the more mellow spirits, as she’s constantly unravelling secrets and stirring up drama with her never-ending theories on who killed her. It’s enough to make anyone think twice about crossing her path!

5. Isaac
Isaac might seem mild-mannered, but as a Revolutionary War soldier, he’s seen his fair share of conflict. His passive-aggressive humour and grudges lend him an unexpected eerie quality. Isaac’s insecurities and repressed feelings can make him occasionally unpredictable, which, combined with his historical significance, gives him a ghostly edge.

6. Sasappis
Sasappis is a Native American storyteller with a dry sense of humour that’s more witty than intimidating. Though he occasionally uses his spirit status to pull light-hearted pranks, he’s rarely, if ever, spooky. His laid-back personality and sarcastic quips make him one of the more approachable ghosts in Woodstone.

7. Pete
Pete, the eternally optimistic camp counsellor, is undoubtedly the least scary of the manor’s ghosts. Despite the arrow lodged in his neck from a fatal archery accident, Pete’s cheerful, can-do attitude is anything but frightening. Pete’s wholesome spirit and endearing attempts to connect with the living make him the warmest presence in the group.

8. Flower
Hippies aren’t scary unless you’re Hank Hill, or Red Foreman dealing with them.

From Thorfinn’s intimidating aura to Pete’s lighthearted charm, Ghosts offers a delightful ying and yang of spookiness and laughs. Whether the haunted beings are sending chills down the spine (which to me they don;t) or bringing smiles to the screen, each ghost adds to the show’s unique supernatural appeal.
