In a recent episode of “Below Deck,” Fraser Olender, the chief stew, subtly responded to criticism from former “Real Housewives of New York” star Jill Zarin, who had a less-than-ideal experience while filming the show. Zarin, who appeared as a guest on “Below Deck,” shared her dissatisfaction with the treatment she received on the yacht, particularly noting the behavior of the crew. In response, Olender shared his perspective on the incident and defended the “Below Deck” crew’s actions.

Olender’s remarks suggest that there may have been a misunderstanding or miscommunication during Zarin’s stay on the yacht. While Zarin complained about the crew’s attitude and professionalism, Olender’s response hinted at the complexity of working on a luxury yacht and managing a high-stress environment. He emphasized the importance of teamwork and maintaining a positive atmosphere, indicating that the crew did their best under challenging circumstances.

The subtle clapback from Olender underscores the ongoing tension between reality TV guests and crew members, with both sides often having differing expectations of the experience. This latest exchange serves as a reminder of the pressures faced by the “Below Deck” crew and the unique dynamics involved in catering to high-profile guests.

In a recent TikTok Olender used the TikTok sound, “If you don’t like me, that’s fine, but you know, watch your mouth,” on his latest post, commenting, “🙄 #fyp #belowdeck @Bravo.”

This post came after Zarin and a group of friends appeared on the Monday, April 1 episode of Below Deck, where she criticized the crew and made several food service demands. After the episode aired, she attempted to explain her behavior on an episode of Heather McDonald’s Juicy Scoop podcast, blaming Olender.

“One of the things he emphasized, which is ironic, is that there’d be snacks and food all of the time, everywhere. He actually emphasized that. And completely didn’t deliver,” she said on Tuesday, April 9. “And I have to tell you, when I think about the trip, it was the head stew’s job to make sure things went seamlessly and I kind of blame him for the trip … being kind of a total disaster for my friends, who I felt terrible for.”
