An all new season of MTV’s competitive reality dating show “Are You The One?” starts this Thursday September 24th at 11pm on MTV before moving to it’s regular Wednesday night slot, so you can expect my annoying live tweeting, and a season full of love, tears, drama, and laughs. And of course: A SERIOUS PLOT TWIST.
I sat down to ask cast member Chelsey about her time on the show, become bffs, get some dirt on this season,talk about my boy Drake a bit, and find out more about the Florida mega babe set to grace our screens for the next few months in this week’s #TMITuesday feature.
1. What can fans expect from this season of AYTO?
2. Since today is #TMITuesday is there something you can tell the readers about you they may not learn from your time on MTV?
I’m currently a Senior at the University of Central Florida studying psychology. What readers may not know is that I actually just finished my first internship at a Mental Health Facility as well as in a Detox Center. The stories and experiences I learned from the clients will forever stay with me. Both positive and negative.
3. What would you say is your “theme song”?
4. Alright, put your iTunes on shuffle, what are the top 3 songs that come on and how do they make you feel?
3. “Planes” by Jeremiah, this is actually my favorite song right now and always relaxes me.
I am a reality TV junkie so I think it’s awesome that I ended up on to my favorite one. I make sure to catch “ winning” and “Dating Naked” every week along with “WAGS” which is my new obsession – plus all the ladies on that show are just so gorgeous.
My initial strategy going into the house was for us to “black out.” But just imagine my shock when Ryan Devlin told us all on the first day in the house that for every “black out” we would lose $250,000. A “black out” is ten truth booths all at once and would have been an awesome strategy if we didn’t have the twist we were given.
9. Did you go into the house for love, money, or both? Why?
Let’s be real. I went into the house wanting to win the money. But the weeks leading up to leaving for Hawaii I finally started to open up to the idea that I may actually find someone. I mean hey, look at Ethan and Amber! They are engaged with a baby so the possibility of finding love on the show became very exciting to me.
10. What’s next for you Chelsey?
I will finally be graduating in the spring with my Bachelor’s! So I am currently looking into grad schools out in California
