#CinemaSunday: Krampus: The Christmas Devil (2013)

It’s fantastic to see a horror film doing well in the box office around Christmas, and Krampus is doing better than I anticipated. Although the new Krampus has a B-movie feel to it, it’s not as low budget as this week’s festive flick: Krampus: The Christmas Devil.

SINOPSIS

 Genre:  Horror/Holiday

Police officer Jeremy has a seedy, and traumatic past (because who wants a main character who has it all together?). The troubled man spends the majority of his time trying to solve a kidnapping case from his past; upon research he discovers that this horrible crime, and similar missing children’s cases may be the work of Krampus, the Christmas devil.

Krampus is of an old lore tale of Santa’s brother who steals and punishes children for being bad. The film has a sequel set to release next year as well.

REVIEW

This film is really fun, I’ve always been a big fan of the Krampus folklore, and this movie tells the story in a pretty great way.
